Plurality/Fronting

Fronting refers to when an individual is the one "in control" of the body, speaking and controlling actions. In many Systems, this is not a clearly defined situation, with a little bit of bleed over or at least some peanut-gallery type commenting going on from other members.

The one who is currently Fronting is called the Front, and is said to be in front, which is where the term originates most likely. Some Systems hand off control very often, and others very rarely or only in certain situations, it depends a lot on the agreements in place among the members.
